You open the door and see another room, just like the room you are in now. A mirror is on the wall straight accross from the doorway you are standing in. You can see your reflection in the mirror on the far wall, but something in it is not right. Though you know you are standing in a doorway, that is not what you see. The reflection you see in the mirror shows a large dining room behind you, and the old man is sitting at a table. Turning to look behind you, you see only the room you awoke in, and the mirror.... Which shows the same reflection. Now the OTHER room is a dining room.
Looking in both mirrors, the old man motions for you to join him. Slowly, you approach the mirrior in the room you awoke in, and look in. The old man is seated at a table, and tells you "Do not trust your eyes, they can lie. Trust what is."
